Westwinds Communities is requesting proposals from qualified project management firms, to provide project management services for Westwinds D’Arcy Affordable Apartment Development. Westwinds Communities in partnership with the Town of Okotoks has secured serviced land on the NE corner of the D’Arcy subdivision (located in NW Okotoks). The site has been subdivided into three parcels, two of which Westwinds Communities owns as part of a Bare Land Condominium. Westwinds development of the site will occur over two phases on the combined 0.92 acres sites totaling 50 affordable housing units. Westwinds is commencing construction of the second phase of development (east site, Unit 3 - 40 units, 0.61 acres) located at #300, 31 Sage Way, Okotoks, with a planned start date of March 2027. Westwinds has obtained building permits to develop Site 300 as a forty unit four storey wood frame apartment representing a combination of one bedroom barrier free and traditional one bedroom units with amenity spaces. The project will require funding approval from Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporate (CMHC) prior to proceeding.
