Scope of works
Provision of a comprehensive annual service, maintenance, calibration and technical support agreement by Instron - Division of ITW Ltd for NPL's fleet of mechanical and materials testing systems. The contract covers the period 01/09/2026 to 31/08/2027 and includes preventative maintenance, service engineer support, software support through Instron Connect, technical assistance, priority breakdown response, software updates, and maintenance of electromechanical, servohydraulic, ElectroPuls and high-rate testing systems. The agreement supports a range of critical laboratory assets used within the Mechanical Test Facility, including 50 kN, 100 kN, 250 kN and 1000 kN testing frames, servohydraulic machines, ElectroPuls systems, dynamic testing systems, load cells, and associated Bluehill and WaveMatrix software platforms. The services ensure continued measurement accuracy, reliability, traceability, and compliance with laboratory accreditation and metrology requirements.
