Scope of works
Across the site, there is an ongoing issue with inadequate extraction and ventilation within shower areas located in the main residential houseblocks and gym facilities. Multiple repair attempts have been undertaken over recent years; however, these have not resolved the issue. Recent inspections confirmed that several extraction systems are either inoperable, defective, or were disconnected during previous shower refurbishment projects and were not subsequently reconnected. This has led to persistent issues with excessive moisture, condensation, mould growth, scaling and steam accumulation, negatively impacting both asset condition and the overall prison environment.
