Scope of works
Supply and delivery of a specialist ORTEC GAMMA-X High Purity Germanium (HPGe) Gamma-Ray Detector System and associated cryogenic cooling equipment from AMETEK (GB) Limited. The procurement includes a coaxial N-type HPGe detector with carbon fibre window, remote preamplifier and high-voltage filter, J-type streamline cryostat, Möbius Recycler cooling system, detector and cryostat configuration packages, and associated accessories. The equipment will be used for high-resolution gamma-ray spectroscopy, ionising radiation measurement, nuclear metrology, and scientific research activities within NPL's Centre for Ionising Radiation and Metrology.
