Scope of works
This is a call for engagement ahead of tender for a single-stage Design and Build contract to convert two existing London Borough of Waltham Forest buildings into temporary accommodation: Rowan House, 1 Cecil Road, London E11 3HF (16 self-contained homes), and 130 Trumpington Road, Forest Gate, London E7 9EQ (14 self-contained homes). The two schemes are tendered as separate contracts under a competitive flexible procedure - single Pre-Selection Questionnaire and shortlist to tender. This exercise is designed to gauge market interest and capacity, and to collect insight on two specific points ahead of tender: the proposed approach to contract insurance, and the impact of the site conditions and programme on preliminaries. Interested contractors should express their interest through the Council's ProContract portal and will be invited to a presentation session covering the scope, programme and site information for both schemes.
