Scope of works
Tees Valley Combined Authority (TVCA)(the ‘Contacting Authority’), part of the Tees Valley Combined Authority Group, has awarded a contract for Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) services in relation to the Teesside International Airport Station project. The appointed contractor will undertake a review of the Engineering Stage 2 (ES2) design and associated reports, including a gap analysis of the work completed to date. The contractor will provide technical expertise on the constructability, risks and opportunities associated with the three shortlisted station locations. Following completion of the ES2 review, a formal gateway approval process will determine whether the project progresses to Engineering Stage 3 (ES3). Subject to approval, the contract includes an option for the contractor to continue providing ECI services throughout the ES3 phase.
