Scope of works
Maintenance of Trumpf and Mindray Surgical equipment has been covered by a compliant contract from 01/04/2018 - 30/09/2026. The above-threshold contract was awarded on completion of a regional tender process managed by BSO PaLS Team. Maintenance of Trumpf and Mindray surgical equipment had been included within PaLS Tender 6312375 Maintenance of Pendants, Theatre Light Systems, Examination Lamps, Theatre Sliding Doors and i-Suite Theatre. There was a fail to award on these sections Mindray's exclusive Distribution and Supply Agreement with MET Healthcare provides evidence that MET has exclusive rights as regards maintenance of Mindray equipment within Northern Ireland.[NB1.1] It has been confirmed by Baxter (the manufacturer[NB2.1]), that "MET Healthcare have been our sole Irish distributor of our Trumpf Medical Operating Room Tables & accessories, and Surgical Examination Lights, Pendants Supply Units & Video Solutions product portfolios" There is no alternative supplier as MET Healthcare Limited has been confirmed as the maintenance provider for both Mindray and Trumpf The proposed DAC duration is 5 years, with a maximum 4.5 year potential extension period. The DAC will be terminated early in the event of regional contract award. Total Value of DAC to be awarded is £608,760
