Scope of works
The Council has an on-going need to dispose of waste from around the borough to enable it to undertake its day to day operations. The proposed procurement includes but is not limited to: Tipping: Highways waste, grounds maintenance waste (green waste, glass, plastics, animal waste, clothing etc.), fly tipping waste (tyres, white goods, chairs, clothing, timber, glass etc.), furnished homes waste from properties Skips: Hire of skips of various sizes and various locations around the borough, and disposal of their contents Highways arising's and gulley waste: street sweepings and gulley emptying are non-source segregated waste collected by the machines from the highway around the Borough. The waste collected typically consists of sand, silt, gravel, leaves, litter including cans/plastics and cigarette butts. Due to the nature of the requirement there cannot be any guarantee of tonnages of waste in any one year or throughout the term of the agreement. It is expected (but not confirmed) that route to market will be open tender to create a multi-lot framework
