Scope of works

Buckinghamshire Council is seeking expressions of interest from organisations with the capability, capacity and experience to deliver specialised support for an individual with complex needs. The service provides specialised residential support for an individual with complex needs. The Individual has a learning disability, autism, ADHD, and behaviours that can challenge. It was established as a bespoke residential placement following a transition from long-term hospital care, with the environment carefully adapted to ensure safety, structure, and therapeutic benefit. Located near Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, the service delivers intensive staffing and tailored interventions aimed at maintaining stability, promoting engagement, and reducing incidents. Looking ahead, the service will remain a residential provision whilst continuing to focus on promoting independence, developing daily living skills, and maximising opportunities for meaningful community participation. The long-term vision is to support the individual to achieve the highest possible level of independence and quality of life within a safe and sustainable residential environment. As the individual’s skills, resilience, and confidence increase, support arrangements will be regularly reviewed to explore opportunities for the gradual and safe reduction of care levels where appropriate, ensuring that any changes are outcome-focused, person-centred, and responsive to assessed need. Estimated Contract Commencement: 1st April 2027 Estimated Contract Term: 36 months with an option to extend for a further 36 months
