Scope of works
Roof Renewal Works - George Bratt Room, Bolsover Assembly Hall, Hill Top, Bolsover, S44 6NG. Old Bolsover Town Council invites quotations from suitably qualified and experienced roofing contractors for the design, supply and installation of a replacement roof system to the George Bratt Room at Bolsover Assembly Hall. The existing mono-pitch roof has experienced intermittent water ingress for approximately ten years despite numerous repairs. An independent Chartered Building Surveyor has concluded that the existing roof covering is likely unsuitable for the roof pitch, exposure and prevailing weather conditions and recommends complete roof renewal. The contractor shall therefore be responsible for proposing and delivering a complete roofing solution suitable for the site conditions. Location George Bratt Room, Bolsover Assembly Hall, Hill Top, Bolsover, S44 6NG. Project Objectives The Council seeks a long-term solution that: • Eliminates water ingress. • Is suitable for the measured roof pitch of approximately 15 degrees. • Is designed for an exposed location subject to wind uplift and wind-driven rain. • Includes all associated flashings, trims, rainwater goods and perimeter details. • Provides appropriate warranties and design responsibility. • Minimises future maintenance requirements.
