Scope of works

Provide a standardised staff psychological service in all its elements across the North East Ambulance Service (NEAS). This includes providing advice to the Trust and managers to reduce the occurrence and length of absence through timely and appropriate advice. Standardising the reporting which includes providing factual and balanced recommendations and provision of management information. Provide this service for over a 52-week period per year. Appointments will be a mix of face-to-face sessions via the telephone. Provide therapy support for workplace-related mental health difficulties within a 6-session model, and for complex workplace trauma-related presentations within a 12-session model. Any extensions to this provision will be in be highly exceptional cases and should only be applied following approval from the Head of Occupational Health and Wellbeing Service for NEAS. Following receipt of a referral, NEAS should receive a response from the Supplier within five working days and an appointment within ten working days. An assessment report to be sent following the first session and then a discharge report at the end of treatment. Support easily accessible high-quality services for staff employed within the full Trust geographical settings, considering the shift work undertaken by some colleagues. Support is cost effective and efficient provision of service that will support the health and wellbeing of Trust staff.
