Scope of works

The contract provides planned preventative maintenance, servicing, inspection, repair and technical support services for six brine saturators located across Worcestershire County Council's highway depot network. The saturators are essential assets supporting the Council's winter maintenance operations through the production of de-icing brine for highway treatment activities. The scope of services includes: Planned preventative maintenance inspections. Pre-season servicing and commissioning. Mid-season inspections. Season shutdown inspections and condition reporting. Emergency call-out response arrangements. Fault diagnosis and repair services. Repair reporting and technical support. Supply of replacement parts and consumables where required. Performance monitoring against agreed Key Performance Indicators. Compliance with health and safety requirements. Direct Award Justification:- Peacock Salt Ltd is the specialist manufacturer and maintainer of the Council's existing saturator equipment and has confirmed that it possesses the technical expertise, competent personnel, specialist equipment, replacement parts and support arrangements necessary to maintain the operational reliability and performance of the saturators throughout the contract period. The contract provides continuity of service for a critical operational asset supporting Worcestershire County Council's statutory winter maintenance obligations
