Project P182122 — The Gambia Water and Sanitation Project · Method: Quality And Cost-Based Selection · Consulting services · REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST (CONSULTING SERVICES – FIRMS SELECTION) REPUBLIC OF THE GAMBIA The Gambia Water and Sanitation Project (WASAP) Project ID: P513113 Assignment Title: Consultancy Services for Feasibility Studies, Detailed Engineering Design, Procurement Support, Construction Supervision, and Defects Liability Support for Urban Water Supply Systems in Kombo East and Urban Sanitation Infrastructure in Kotu and Banjul Reference No.: GM-NAWEC-565968-CS-QCBS The Republic of The Gambia has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Gambia Water and Sanitation Project (WASAP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services for Feasibility Studies, Detailed Engineering Design, Procurement Support, Construction Supervision, and Defects Liability Support for Urban Water Supply Systems in Kombo East and Urban Sanitation Infrastructure in Kotu and Banjul. The Greater Banjul Area is the country’s principal urban and economic center. Urban water services face major challenges including production constraints, intermittent supply, ageing infrastructure, limited storage capacity, and high levels of non-revenue water. Similarly, sanitation services in Banjul and Kotu are constrained by deteriorated sewerage assets, underperforming wastewater treatment facilities, and inadequate fecal sludge management infrastructure. WASAP will support the Government of The Gambia in addressing these challenges through investments aimed at improving service coverage, reliability, resilience, and sustainability of water supply and sanitation services.
