For this contract the Borrower shall process the payments using the Direct Payment disbursement method, as defined in the World Bank’s Disbursement Guidelines for Investment Project Financing. The Provincial Project Management Unit (PPMU), Janakpurdham, Dhanusha invites sealed bids from eligible Bidders for the procurement of Upgrading works of Kalaiya-Malahi Road (16.226Km) of Bara District. The construction period is Two (2) years. The works consists of two phases: (a) Phase: 1 Construction/ /Upgrading Works- The Upgrading works of Kalaiya-Malahi Road (16.226Km) of Bara District consisting of the Site Clearance, Earthworks. flexible pavement construction, rigid pavement construction, Road safety and traffic management work, retaining structures, culverts, drain and bio-engineering works, etc., and (b) Phase 2: Performance Based Maintenance Works for 5 years (Maintenance works consisting of all activities to be carried out to achieve and keep the road assets as defined in the Technical Specifications) after completion of construction/ improvement/ upgrading works, under International Competitive Bidding – Single Stage Two Envelope Bidding procedures
