Ce PSE bénéficie de l’appui des partenaires techniques et financiers. Les conclusions des États Généraux de l’Éducation Nationale et de l’Alphabétisation (EGENA) ont confirmé les grands projets de réformes (don’t la réforme des premiers apprentissages, la réforme du collège, la réforme de la gouvernance) qui sont déjà portées par le Plan Sectoriel de l’Education. C’est dans ce cadre que l’Association International de Développement Association (IDA-Banque mondiale) finance, conjointement avec le Partenariat Mondial pour l’Éducation (GPE), une partie du PSE 2016-2025. Le financement s’élève à 264,7 millions de dollars (US$). Ce financement s’est traduit par la mise en place du Programme de Renforcement du Système Éducatif de Base (PRSEB).
