Scope of works
Medicine Hat College (MHC) is a public post-secondary institution located in Medicine Hat, Alberta, serving approximately 2,500 students and employing about 500 faculty and staff. The college operates on a 160-acre campus consisting of multiple buildings of varying ages, as well as two student residences complexes. Coulee View and Golfview, which together provide nearly 300 beds across 70 four-bedroom units. MHC maintains several onsite waste diversion and recycling assets, including a VP300 vertical compactor with an 8-cubic yard container, a PTR 420 HD cardboard baler, a CFL bulb recycling unit and an IDEAL MBM Destroyit 410 crosscut shredder. MHC is seeking proposals from qualified waste management and mixed recycling service providers to deliver comprehensive waste collection, recycling, and sustainability services for both the campus and student residence in Medicine Hat. The college is looking for a partner that can provide reliable waste services, increase recycling and diversion opportunities, support sustainability objectives, reduce landfill waste and deliver cost-effective solutions.
