Scope of works
Project scope for this RFP is to engage a provider to for the following services: The RFP is for the purposes of soliciting from the market, proposals for Blood Culture Devices and associated Consumables. Alberta Precision Laboratories (APL) provides microbiology testing services across Alberta. The intent of this RFP is to establish a strategic agreement with a single provider for blood culture analyzers and associated pre- and post-analytical automation solutions to support provincial standardization. Solutions should meet or exceed clinical performance standards, be cost effective, scalable, sustainable, and support routine and surge blood culture testing. Sites in scope include 2 provincial hub and 5 regional laboratories.
