Scope of works
The project consists of rehabilitation of the existing Río Culebrinas Raw Water Intake (RWI), which supplies water to the Aguadilla and Culebrinas Water Filtration Plants. The project includes the construction of a new RWI expansion chamber the installation of new bar screens and Coanda screens, bypass provision and T-screens. In addition, the project considers the improvement of the pump station discharge manifold along with all the necessary fittings, instrumentation and structural components. The project will benefit approximately 64,000 families in the municipalities of Aguadilla, Aguada, Moca and Rincón. Funding by Puerto Rico Aqueduct and Sewer Authority (PRASA), the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) under FEMA’s Accelerated Award Strategy (FAASt), and the Community Development Block Grant-Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) Program.
