The Republic of Lebanon (hereinafter called "Borrower") has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Lebanon Emergency Assistance Project (LEAP) , and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for "Rehabilitation of Shelters (Public Schools) for Batch 5: Lot 1 Lot 2 and Lot 3". For these three contracts, the Borrower shall process the payments using the Direct Payment disburserrent method, as defined in the World Bank's Disburserrent Guidelines for hvestment Project Financing The project encorrpasses 3 distinct Lots categorized across different regions. The distribution for Bitch 5 includes: Batch 5 - 3 Bids: Request for Bid (RFB) Designation Lot Caza's Number of Schools LEAP-SH-SW-MEHE- Batch 5 (lot 1) Lot 1 Jezzine 3 Chouf 18 LEAP-SH-SW-MEHE- Batch 5 (lot 2) Lot 2 West Bekaa 9 Zahle 7 Rashaya 8 LEAP-SH-SW-MEHE- Batch 5 (lot 3) Lot3 Saida 16 Hasbaya 1 2. The Council for Development and Reconstruction (CDR) now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the "Rehabilitation of Shelters (Public Schools) - Batch 5: Lot 1, Lot 2- and Lot 3", consisting of providing restoration works to address the needs of buildings including the supply of material and implementation of repairs of items such as lighting, bathroom plumbing, painting, tiling, etc... of selected public buildings used as shelters, in compliance with applicable National and International Regulations and World Bank requirements for such. The scope is limited to light repair and improvement of accessibility works aimed at restoring basic safety, functionality, habitability, and dignity of use.
