Tender Description
The Project consists of the evaluation, design, permitting, and implementation of improvements to the existing sludge treatment and filtration systems to enhance operational reliability, treatment performance, and long-term sustainability. The work includes rehabilitation of the sludge holding tank facilities, construction of a new sludge thickening system, upgrades to sludge dewatering and drying bed operations, replacement of aging mechanical and electrical equipment, instrumentation and control improvements, and integration with the existing SCADA system. All work will be performed in accordance with the Scope of Work and Specifications prepared by PRASA. This project will benefit approximately 729 families in the municipality of Río Grande. The project will be financed with funds from the Puerto Rico Aqueduct and Sewer Authority (PRASA) and by a loan and/or grant made or insured by the Environmental Protection Agency (Clean Water State Revolving Fund Program) acting through the Department of Natural and Environmental Resources.
